International Synergies Limited is pleased to announce our sponsorship of the Circular Economy UK Conference 2026, taking place on Wednesday 5th February at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Birmingham. The event brings together leaders, policymakers, practitioners and innovators from across the UK and beyond to accelerate the transition towards a more circular, resource-efficient economy.

As a long-standing global leader in the delivery of industrial symbiosis, we are proud to support a conference that recognises the essential role of collaborative, systems-based approaches in addressing climate, economic and resource challenges.

Speaking Engagements: Leadership in Industrial Symbiosis

Both our Chairman, Peter Laybourn OBE, and our Chief Executive, Dr Rachel Lombardi, will speak at the conference.
Peter will draw on recent publications from major international institutions—including the UN, WBCSD, OECD, IRP and the European Commission—all of which highlight industrial symbiosis as a vital mechanism for achieving green growth, carbon reductions, and meeting the INDCs agreed under COP26. His session will reinforce the strength of this global evidence base and its implications for UK policy and industry.

Dr Lombardi will focus on how industrial symbiosis can significantly enhance resource efficiency, strengthen supply chain resilience, and contribute to more sustainable, circular business operations. With experience spanning more than 50 countries, she will outline the real-world benefits of large-scale facilitation, from demand-led innovation and inward investment to job creation and substantial reductions in CO₂ emissions, particularly Scope 3.
Both speakers will address the principal market barriers that continue to limit the widespread adoption of cross-sector working, and the proven solutions for overcoming them.

Exhibiting and Showcasing New Development

International Synergies will also be exhibiting at the conference. Delegates are invited to visit our stand to learn more about our global work, our digital tools, and the proven impact of industrial symbiosis across regions and sectors.
We will also be offering an exclusive preview of a new development within our digital offering, which will be formally unveiled at the event. This advancement has been designed to support organisations in accelerating their circular economy ambitions through improved data, visibility and facilitation capability.
