Roadmap of Uzbekistan Industrial Decarbonisation

The Roadmap of Uzbekistan Industrial Decarbonisation involves analysing energy-intensive sectors to identify decarbonisation opportunities through industrial symbiosis and energy efficiency, with ISL conducting assessments, designing a national programme, and developing a deployment strategy.

More About The Project

Desk-based analysis of energy intensive sectors and industrial zone data to identify decarbonisation opportunities for Uzbekistan through industrial symbiosis and energy efficiency.

ISL are responsible for the following tasks:

  • To conduct symbiosis assessment/preliminary sectoral screening for industrial symbiosis potential.
  • To conduct granular assessment of the identified synergies/technical analysis.
  • To design a focused national level program that have scale or aim for scale up and business models and scenario and simulations of energy, GHG and economic net benefits.
  • To develop a deployment strategy in selected economic zones that will look into specific recommendations to promote industrial decarbonisation considering local policy, planning, and regulatory aspects.

ISL would be particularly interested in discussing opportunities with businesses from the food and drink, water utilities, construction, cast metal foundries, metal surface treatment, agriculture and battery production sectors.

Through a combination of site visits and events, ISL’s team of experts will assist businesses in the West Midlands region to identify and facilitate business opportunities to reduce these waste streams and deliver impact.
