International Synergies recruits experienced Sustainable Business Consultant
International Synergies Ltd (ISL), has appointed Matt Bryan as Sustainable Business Consultant to assist clients in the West Midlands area.
In 2024, ISL secured two regional projects to galvanise efforts to embrace the circular economy: the UKSPF-funded Circular Economy for Birmingham and Solihull (CEBAS) project assists companies in the Birmingham and Solihull area to cut cost and carbon through resource efficiency (for details, please visit https://international-synergies.com/ourprojects/cebas-resource-efficiency-project/). The team at ISL are also assisting businesses in the wider West Midlands area through the Industrial Symbiosis Network project on behalf of the West Midlands Combined Authority (for details, please visit https://international-synergies.com/ourprojects/west-midlands-industrial-symbiosis-network-wmisn/).
The strategic appointment of experienced business consultant Matt Bryan strengthens ISL’s capacity to support those businesses and organisations seeking to transition to more sustainable business operations. Prior to joining ISL, Matt worked on an extensive portfolio of projects in the environmental sector that included contaminated land, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions monitoring at oil refineries, power stations, incineration and recycling plants. He has also worked as a civilian contractor on Ministry of Defence (MoD) projects in the capacity of an environmental consultant whilst his most recent stint was with the Royal Air Force, at RAF Brize Norton.
Matt Bryan stated: “I am excited to join International Synergies at a time where there is an ever-increasing spotlight on sustainability and reducing GHG emissions. The scale of impact that industrial symbiosis can have on carbon emissions and scope 3 reductions is significant.
